Malavath Purna Biography

Early Life : Malavath Purna is a most courageous Indian girl living in the Pakala village and Nizamabad district of the Telangana state of India. She was born on 10th of June in the year 2000 at Pakala village, Nizamabad, Telangana, India. Her mother name is Mrs. Laxmi and father name is Mr. Devidas. Her parents are agricultural labourer in the Pakala village of Nizamabad.

She was just a 13 years and 11 months old Indian woman who made a highest record in the world in the field of mountaineering and become a proud girl for India. She is a very brave girl of high endurance from the Telangana. She has become a mark of courage and an ideal girl for all the Indian women to go ahead and win in any field of interest.

Success has come on her way after her hard and courageous efforts and dedication to her interested profession. Her brother, Naresh, too has said that he would become a successful mountaineer a day and summit to the Everest peak.


She has completed her 9th standard from Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential School, Telangana. She got training as a best mountaineer from the “Mountaineering Institute in Darjeeling”. One of her colleague (Sadhanapalli Anand Kumar, 17 years old) from the Khammam district, Telangana from the same school had also participated with her in the Everest climbing.


Both of the students (Malavath Purna and Sadhanapalli Anand Kumar) were selected as a best student after the competition among approximately 150 students from field of adventure sports. From where, around 20 students got selected for the training at “prestigious mountaineering Institute in Darjeeling” however, only 9 students were sent to expedition for the “Indo-China border”. Finally, Malavath Purna and Sadhanapalli Anand Kumar got selected for the Everest mountaineering in the month April.

Poorna – a biopic about Malavath Poorna by Rahul Bose in 2017

A biopic (an inspirational film) has been made by the Rahul Bose titled as “Poorna” about the girl who had conquered the Mount Everest as a mountaineer in 2014. This biopic is a story about a youngest girl who climbed the Mount Everest. She was just 13 yrs and 11 months old when she climbed the Everest in 2014. Rahul Bose is the director and producer of the movie as well as he himself has acted in the movie and played the role of RS Praveen Kumar (the mentor of Malavath Purna). The role of Malavath Purna in the movie is played by the Aditi Inamdar (14-year-old) who is also from Telengana.
