Annie Besant was a great woman who has been served as a theosophist, British socialist, activist for woman rights, writer, orator and supporter to the Indian independence. She was speaker at the National Secular Society, Fabian Society and Marxist Social Democratic Federation. She was selected as a member of the Theosophical Society. She was a woman who has helped a lot in establishing the Central Hindu College (CHS), Varanasi in 1898.
